Ochagavia Bromeliazeoen (Subfamilia Bromelioideae) familiako landare generoa da. Euskal jatorriko izen hori du (Otsagabiaren gaztelerazko forma da Ochagavía) generoak izendatu zutelako Silvestre Ochagavía Errázuriz Txileko hezkuntza ministro izandakoaren omenez[1].
Espezie endemikoak hego eta erdialdeko Txilen eta Juan Fernández uharteetan, [2] Lau espezie identifikatu dituzte generoaren barne. [3]
