Olo-opila (ingelesez, oatcake) cracker edo galleta baten antzeko ogi zapal mota bat da, edo bertsio batzuetan opil txikiaren itxura hartzen du.[1] Oloarekin prestatzen dira osagai nagusi gisa, eta batzuetan irin zuri edo integrala ere izaten dute. Olo-pastelak plantxan prestatzen dira edo labean erretzen dira.
Historia
Olo-pastelak Kaledonian (Eskozia deiturikoa IX. mendearen ondoren) existitzen zirela dokumentatu da, gutxienez erromatarrek Britainia Handia konkistatu zutenetik, 43. urtean, eta, ziurrenik, lehenago. Horrez gain, olo-opilak mendeetan zehar "Eskoziako ogiaren oinarri" gisa ere deskribatu izan dira.
