Personal Area Network
PAN Personal Area Network-en siglak dira. Sarbide puntutik hurbil dauden bat baino gehiagoko gailuen arteko konputagailu-sarea da. Gailu hauen artean ordenagailuak, Interneterako sarbide puntuak, telefono mugikorrak, PDA, inprimagailuak... sar daitezke. Metro gutxiko eremuko sareak dira eta erabilera pertsonalerako.
Haririk gabeko sareak
Bluetooth estandarra PAN sareak eratzeko aproposa da. Bluetooth gailuen PAN sarea piconet deitzen da eta gutxienez bi gailuz osatzen da. Bata maisua eta beste morroia harreman hierarkiko batean. Piconet-era konektatzen den lehenengo gailua maisua da eta gainerakoak (morroiak) beraren menpe jarriko dira. Eskuarki 10 metroko irismena du baina baldintza egokietan 100 metrora hel daiteke.
