Polonesa
Polonesa poloniar jatorriko dantza da, hirutar konpasean idatzia eta erritmo neurtua duena; aldi ahuleko kadentziak izan ohi ditu. Zeremoniazko martxa baten antzekoa da, eta ziur aski XVI. mendean sortu zen, gortean; dantzariek, bikoteka, bira ematen zioten dantza-aretoari. XVII-XIX. mendeetan Europako herrialde askotan erabili zen gorteko dantzaldiak hasteko, eta pianorako konposizio asko egin ziren. Haendel, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert eta Chopinek idatzi zituzten polonesak, besteren artean. Chopinenak dira ezagunenak.
