Popeye Marinela (ingelesez: Popeye the Sailor) komiki-bandetan eta marrazki bizidunetan agertzen den pertsonaia da. Elzie Crisler Segarrek sortua,[1] lehendabizikoz 1919ko abenduaren 19an King Features Syndicateren Timble Theatre zerrendan agertu zen, The New York Evening Journal egunkarian.
Haren izena ingelesezko Pop-eye (/pɒpaɪ/ ahoskatua) esapidetik dator (euskaraz "begi irten" esan nahi du): marinelen artean, begibakarrekoak izendatzeko askotan erabiltzen da.[2]
Euskal Herrian, ETB 1ek haren marrazki-bizidunak igorri ditu eta 1980an Robert Altmanek Popeye zuzendu zuen, Robin Williamsek antzeztua.
