Portland harria, Jurasiko Berantiarreko Tithoniar aroko formazio geologiko bat da, Ingalaterra hegoaldeko Portland uharteko harrobietatik ateratzen dena. Ondare harri izendatua du Geologia Zientzien Nazioarteko Elkarteak.[1]
Ezaugarriak
Harri mota hau arkitekturan asko erabiltzen da, eta berarekin eraikin nabarmen asko eraiki dira, nagusiki Britainiar Uharteetan baina baita mundu osoanz ehar ere, tartean Londresko San Paulo katedrala eta Buckingham jauregia, bai eta New York hiriko Nazio Batuen Egoitza ere.
Portland zementuak izendapena harri honekin duen antzekotasunari zor dio.
