Proventzako astoa, ( frantsesez ""Gris de Provence""), Okzitaniako Proventza eskualdeko bertako asto arraza bat da. Arrazaren garapenean ardi transhumantzian zebilen artzainen eskutik etorri zen. Transhumantziarekiko astoen lotura hau beste hainbat asto arrazekin agertzen da, hala nola Euskal Herriko bi asto arrazekin, enkarterriko astoa eta piriniar astoa.
Arrazaren historia
Auto zein trenaren asmatze eta hedapenak astoen kopurua asko jaitsi omen zen eskualdean. XIXen mendearen amaieran Proventza-Alpeak-Kosta Urdina eskualdean 13.000 asto zeuden . Baina 1956en urtean 2000 asto zeuden eta 1993en urterako 330 baino besterik ez ziren geratzen[1].
