Salionca Plinio Zaharra eta Pomponio Melak aipatutako autrigoien lurraldeak osatzen zuten hamar civitatesen bat izan zen. Egungo Poza de la Saletik gertu zegoen, Milagro izeneko muinoan.[1] Muinoan Brontze eta Burdin Aroko aztarnak topatu dituzte eta gainera toponimoa bertan ustiatzen zuten elikagaiak mantentzeko produktu nahitaezkoarekin lotura zuzena du, gatzarekin hain zuzen ere. Erromatarren garaian, kokagune inportantea izan zen.
Antzinako Erromako garaietan hiria Ab Asturica Burdigalam (Astorga-Bordele) galtzadan zegoen, Antoninoren Ibilbidearen arabera.[2]
