Salsette (maratheraz: साष्टी, Sashti; portugesez: Salsete) Maharashtrako uhartea da, Indiako mendebaldeko kostaldean dagoena. Mumbai eta Thane hiriak bertan daudenez, Lurreko 14. uharterik populatuena da. Aspaldi ez zen uhartea, uhartedia baizik, baina 1782 eta 1845 artean uharteen arteko itsasarteak bere zituzten.
Historia
1534 eta 1737 artean uhartea portugaldarra izan zen. Gero, Maratha Inperioak okupatu zuen nahiz eta 1661ean jada Mumbaiko zazpi uharteak Britainiar Koroari utziak izan. 1774an britainiarrek okupatu zuten. 1947an Indian sartu zen.
