Selenol
Kimika organikoan, selenolak konposatu kimikoen klase bat da, non selenio-atomo bat hidrogeno-atomo batekin lotuta dagoen -SeH funtzio-taldea osatzen. Selenolek RSeH egitura dute non R = alkilo edo arilo. Selenolak organoselenio konposatuen klase bat dira. Selenolak erraz oxidatzen dira diseleniurora[1].

Selenolak parte dira hainbat prozesu biokimikoetan selenozisteina aminoazidoaren edo glutationa peroxidasa entzimaren bidez esaterako[2].
Sintesia
Selenolak sintetizatzeko erreaktibo organolitikoak edo Grignard-en erreaktiboak selenio hutsarekin erreakzionaraziz prestatzen dira. Adibidez, bentzenosenelola fenilmaganesio bromuroa eta selenioa erreakzionaraziz prestatzen da[3].
Tokikotasuna
Organoselenio konposatuak (edozein selenio-deribatu bidenabar), pozoi metagarriak dira nahiz eta selenio-kantitate ñimiñoak biziarentzat ezinbestekoak diren[4].
