Simun
Simuna (arabieraz: سموم samūm, سم s-m-m hitzetik, "haize pozoitsua"), Sahara, Palestina, Siria, Jordania eta Arabiako basamortuetan jotzen duen haize eta hondarrezko denborale indartsu, bero eta lehor bat da. Tenperatura 54º baino gehiagokoa izan daiteke, eta hezetasuna %10 baino gutxiagokoa.
Ekaitz hau, bat-batean eta modu zirkularrean mugitzen da, zikloiak bezala, hauts eta hondarrezko lainoak eramanez, pertsona eta animalietan asfixia eta hipertermia eraginez. Haize beroak gorputzari lurruntze edo izerdi bidez gainetik ken dezakeena baino bero gehiago emateari ematen zaio izen hori. Simuna oso arin eta abisurik gabe garatzen da, garai ohikoenak ekain erdialdetik eta abuztu erdialdera bitartean badira ere.
