Slapstick
Slapsticka komediaren azpigenero ezaguna da: hor, ondorio fisikoak ez dituen ekintza bortitzak erabiltzen dituzte, umorea egiteko.[1] Barrea eragiteko, neurriz gaineko txantxez eta gag fisikoez (pastel bat aurpegira botatzea edota zartaginkada bat ematea) balialtzen dira.[2]
Italiako Commedia dell'arten jada erabilia, zinemaren hasieran britainiar umoristek —Charlie Chaplinek, Stan Laurelek, George Formbyk edo Dan Lenok[3]— music halletik ekarri zituzten bere gagak. Egungo zinema komikoan oraindik teknika horiek erabiltzen dituzte (adibidez, Jackass edo Fawlty Towers telesailetan edota Monty Pythonen eta Farrelly anaien filmetan).
