Sotana apaiz kristauen jantzi luzea da, normalean aurrean botoiak dituena[1], kleroaren zenbait estamentuk erabilitakoa, katoliko, ortodoxo, anglikano, luterano, eta kalbinisten artean besteak beste. Latinezko termino da vestis talaris, literalki orkatilarainoko jantzia.
Euskal Herrian, XX. mendera arte, apaizen ohiko itxura izan da sotana luze eta beti beltzarekin janztea. Vatikanoko II. kontzilioaren ostean etorri zen apaizak beste modu batera janzteko ohitura Euskal Herrira[2].
