Sudd (arabieraz: سد, sad, "harresia") Nilo Zuriak Sudango hegoaldean sortzen duen padura zabala da, urtaro hezean 130.000 km² izatera iristen ahal dena. Ibaia hainbat besotan adarkatzen da eta nabigazioa izugarri zaila da. Munduko hezegune handienetako bat da. Itsasoaren gainetik 400 metroko altueran dago eta 600 kilometroko luzera du. Lurruntze handia dela eta Sudden sartzen den uraren %55 galtzen da.
WWFk Saharako larre urperagarrien ekoeskualdea izena jarri dio eskualde honi[1]. Niger-Baniko barne delta eta Chad lakuarekin batera Sudd eta Saheleko sabana eta larre urperagarriak izeneko eskualdea osatzen du.
Urperatze mailaren arabera bost landaredi mota daude. Espezie ugarienak papiroa, lezka arrunta, Echinochloa pyramidalis, Oryza barthii, Echinochloa stagnina eta Vossia cuspidate dira.
