Tabora[1] Tanzaniako hiri bat da eta izen bereko eskualdeko hiriburua. 2022an 3.391.679 biztanle zituen.
Historia
Hiriaren jatorria Kazeh izeneko herri bat izan zen, 1850eko hamarkadan sortua, swahili eta omandar jatorriko merkatarien esklaboen merkataritza-gune gisa. Bere lehen urteetan Unyanyembeko erresumakoa izan zen. Jatorrizko asentamenduaren zati handi bat, 1871n, nyamwezi herriaren liderra zen Miramboren tropek suntsitu zuten. 1891n Ekialdeko Afrika Alemanak anexionatu zuen, bere trenbide posizio estrategikoagatik bere administrazio gune nagusietako bat bihurtu zuena. Alemaniarrek 1916an galdu zuten hiria, Charles Tombeur jeneral belgikarraren tropek Lehen Mundu Gerran harrapatu zutenean.[2][3]
