Toil, toilo edo toll[2] (Mustelus) Triakidae familiako genero baten kideen izen arrunta da.[3] Marrazoen kideak, 159 zm-ko luzera eta 13 kg-ko pisua izan ditzakete.[4] Mustela bere latinezko izen zientifikoak bisoi esan nahi du.[5]
Euskaraz toiloarenak jo deitzen diogu adar-jotzeari: toiloak azal gogorra duenez, hura biguntzeko karelaren kontra kolpatzen zuten arrantzaleek. Hortik datoz toiloa jo edo toiloa eman esamoldeak jipoiaren zentzuan, eta, hedaduraz, zigor fisikotik dialektikora txango eginez.[6]
