Txokolate-suzedaneoak[1] formatu edo moldeaketa berezien bidez txokolatearekin nahas daitezkeen prestakinak dira. Txokolate-suzedaneoek giza elikadurarako kakao- eta txokolate-produktuetarako ezarritako baldintzak betetzen dituzte, kakao-gurinren ordez beste landare-olio jangarri batzuk erabili direnean izan ezik.[2] Txokolate-suzedaneoak nahitaez adierazi behar dira etiketetan.
