VHS
VHS, Video Home System esaldiaren akronimoa, etxerako bideo sistema analogikoa da, 1980 eta 1990eko hamarkadetan bideo grabatzeko estandar zabalduena izan zena. Bideoaren euskarri fisikoa kasete edo plastikozko kaxa batean bilduriko bideo-zinta zen, 2 orduko gehienezko iraupena zuena. 1976 urtean merkaturatzen hasi zen JVC enpresa, urtebete lehenago Sonyk atera zuen Betamax sistemarekin lehiatzeko. Phillips etxearen Video 2000 sistemarekin ere lehiatu zen. Betamax sistemak pretazio teknologiko hobeak eskaintzen zituen arren, enpresa gehienek VHS estandarra bereganatu zuten, bere bideo-grabagailuak eta grabaturiko bideo-zintak ekoizteko. Betamax sistemarekin izandako lehia historian izandako marketin-kasu nabarmen eta interesgarri moduan aurkezten da.
