Verdeca Italiako mahats barietatea da, ardo zuria egiteko erabiltzen dena eta Italiako hegoaldeko Apulian hazten dena. Apulian, Locorotondo, Martina Franca eta beste ardo-izendapen batzuen osagarri nagusietako bat da, Bianco d'Alessanorekin batera.
Campanian ere landatzen da, Vesuvio mendiaren magalean non Falanghina, Coda di Volpe eta Greco ardo zurietan zein eskualdeko Lacrima Christi ardo gozoan nahasteko barietate gisa erabiltzen den. Bermuta ekoizteko osagaia ere izan daiteke.[1][2]
