Zimbabwe Handia Zimbabweko hego-ekialdeko muinoetan, Mutirikwe aintzira eta Masvingo hiritik gertu, dagoen antzinako hiria da. Hiria Burdin Aro berantiarreko Zimbabweko Erresumako hiriburua izan zen. XI. eta XIV. mendeen artean eraiki zuten, 722 ha. dituen eremuak 18.000 lagunentzako tokia izanik. Zimbabweko monarken errege-jauregia izan zen eta morterorik gabe eraikitako bere 5 metroko harresiak ospetsuak dira. Hiriak "Handia" adjektiboa du, eskualdean beste 'zimbabwe' edo morterorik gabe eraikitako eraikin asko daudelako.[1]
