  • ۲۰۰۰: انتفاضه دوم مردم فلسطین علیه اسراییل که پس از مذاکرات کمپ دیوید آشکار شد و در سال ۲۰۰۵ به پایان رسید.
  • ۲۰۰۹: تظاهرات سال ۱۳۸۸ معترضان به نتیجه انتخابات ریاست‌جمهوری در ایران که ۳ روز پس از اعلام نتایج انتخابات ریاست جمهوری، با حضور میلیونی ایرانیان در شهر تهران، دیگر شهرهای ایران، و برخی شهرهای دیگر کشورها صورت گرفت. این تظاهرات یکی از بزرگ‌ترین تظاهرات‌های غیر حکومتی تاریخ ایران بود و در تاریخ ۳۰ ساله پس از انقلاب بی‌سابقه بوده است.
