Bereshit (en ivrit בְּרֵאשִׁית, b'reyshit, "al empesijo de", el kualo es elprimér biervo del livro) es el primer livro de la Tora i endemás el primer livro del Tanah. En este livro aparesen varios de los personajes emportantes para el puevlo djudio, komo Noah, Avraam Avinu, Its·hak, Yaakov i Yosef Atsadik, por enshemplo. Este livro es meldado en 12 parashot.
