Agadés
L'Agadés o lo país d'Agde es una contrada de Bas Lengadòc que compren la vila d'Agde e sos entorns. Correspon approximativament al comtat-diocèsi d'Agde e al vescomtat d'Agde.[1]
Toponimia
Lo nom d'Agadés es plan atestat en occitan ancian jos la forma Agades als sègles XIV-XV.[2]

Comtat d'Agadés
Lo comtat d'Agadés es sovent mencionat, mas un comte d'Agadés es pas mencionat qu'un sol còp: Apollòni, al sègle IX. Los istorians supausan que los avesques aurián aquerit lo poder temporal sul comtat, en l'exercissent pel mejan dels vescomtes d'Agde-Besièrs.[3]
