Astana (en cazac, Астана) es la capitala de Cazacstan. Sa populacion estimada èra 1 350 228 de abitants, en 2022. Sa superfícia totala es 510 km².
Son nom oficiau en cazac èra Астана = Astana de 1998 a 2019, e avans 1998 èra Ақмола = Aqmola. Ancianament en rus, la vila se sonava oficialament Акмолинск = Akmolinsk de 1830 a 1961, puei Целиноград = Tselinograd de 1961 a 1992, puei Акмола = Akmola de 1992 a 1998.
Lo 20 de març de 2019 pren coma nom Нұрсұлтан, lo prenom dau reire-president Norsoltan Nazarbaiev. En setembre de 2022 torna prene lo nom d'Astana.
