Lo genre Copella regropa mantuna espècias de peisses americans de la familha dels Lebiasinidae .

Una de las espècias, Copella arnoldi, a la particularitat de pondre sos uòus sus de fuèlhas que susplomban l'aiga. Lo desvolopament complet dels uòus sefa atal en defòra de l'element liquid mas los parents velhan a los asaigar regularament per evitar que s'assèquen. A l'esplelida, la rabalha retomba dins son element natural, entraïnada per de gotas d'aiga, per i contunhar son desvolopament.
