Corindon
Lo corindon es un minerau de color fòrça variabla (incolòr, blau, roge, gris, negre, jaune e pus rarament verd, ròse ò violet). A una duretat de 9 e una densitat de 4,0-4,1. Es format d'oxid d'alumini (simbòl quimic : Al2O3) cristallizat segon un sistèma trigonau de classa ditrigonala scalenoedric. Dins la natura, lei cristaus an una forma prismatica, tabulara ò de còps bipiramidala. Son esclat es adamantin ò veirenc.
Es un minerau accessòri caracteristica dei ròcas metamorficas amb una concentration auta d'alumini. En causa de sa duretat fòrça importanta, resistís ben a l'alteracion e se troba donc tanben de còps dins certanei depaus sedimentaris. Lei varietats opacas son utilizadas dins l'industria per sei proprietats abrasivas. Lei varietats lindas e transparentas son utilizadas coma gemma e pòdon aver una valor fòrça importanta, especialament lei varietats rojas e blavas que son respectivament dichas robin e safir.
