Cycliophora
Los Cycliophora son d'animals microscopics (0,4 mm sus 0,1 mm per la femèla e 0,1 mm sus 0,05 mm pel mascle nan). Vivon sus las pèças bucalas de las langostas e ligombaus.
Las femèlas se compausan de tres partidas : un còn bucal, un abdomèn e un disc de fixacion. Los mascles son desprovesits de còn bucal e vivon fixats sus la femèla.
I a dos mòdes de reproduccions : sexuat via una larva cordoïda e asexuat via una larva pandora.
Classificacion
Tres espècias son conegudas :
- Symbion pandora Funch & Kristensen, 1995 sus Nephrops norvegicus (Crustacea)
- Symbion americanus Obst, Funch & Kristensen 2006 sus Homarus americanus (Crustacea)
- Symbion sp1 sus Homarus gammarus (Crustacea) demòra a descriure.
