Gala Rizzatto, mai coneguda per son nom de scèna Gala, nascuda lo 6 de setembre de 1975 a Milan en Itàlia, es una compositritz e cantaira anglofòna de pop, e mai que mai de pop dance.
Artista culta de la pop dance de las annadas 90, l'Italiana Gala a vendut mai de 6 milions de disques dins lo monde entier, fasent d'ela l'una de las ambaissadoiras las mai famosas de l'eurodance. Sas cançons las mai conegudas e que foguèron d'immenses tubes en 1996 e 1997 son Let a Boy Cry, Come into My Life e sustot Freed from Desire. En França en particular, aquel títol, Freed from Desire, n°1 al mes d'octobre de 1996, marcarà durablament los esperits, talament que serà quitament en 2022 un imne informal de l'equipa de fotbòl francesa pendent la Copa del Monde, 26 ans après sa sortida.[1]
