Geronimo

Geronimo (mescalero-chiricahua Goyaałé, AFI:kòjàːɬɛ́, "lo que badalha"; junh de 1829 – 17 de febrièr de 1909) foguèt un cap important dels apaches bedonkohe que luchèt contra Mexic e Tèxas e son extension a la tèrras tribalas apachas diverses decennis durant las guèrras apachas. "Geronimo" èra lo nom que li donèron durant una batalha los soldats mexicans. Lo nom chiricahua de Geronimo es conegut en anglés coma Goyathlay o Goyahkla.^[1]^[2]

Après d'una ataca mexicana de sa tribú, ont los soldats tuèron sa maire, sa molher Alope e sos tres filhs en 1851, Geronimo va far una seria d'atacas de venjança contra los mexicans.^[3]

En 1886, après d'una longa perseguida, Geronimo se va liurar a las autoritats oficiosas texanas coma presonièr de guèrra. Ja vièlh, va venir una celebritat, apareissent dins las fieiras^[4] mas jamai li foguèt pas possible de tornar a sas tèrras nadalas. Geronimo moriguèt en 1909 de complicacions d'una pneumonia a Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
