Henry Cort
Henry Cort (v. 1740, Lancaster - 23 de mai de 1800) es un mestre de farja anglés coneissut per son invencion dau puddlage. D'efiech, al segle XVIII, l'utilizacion de còc dins los auts-forneus, dins un contexte de progrès de l'industria miniera e dels transpòrts, permetèt de produrre de quantitats considerablas de fonda. Pasmens, i aviá pas de tecnicas adaptaas per las trachar rapidament. Cort descurbiguèt dins los ans 1780, un metòde permetent de mesclar la fonda en fusion amb un flus d'aire. Aquò permetiá d'empachar lo contacte entre lo metau e la partia solida dau combustible e de simplificar las transformacions ulterioras de la fonda. Aquela descuberta permetèt donc d'aumentar fòrça la produccion de las farjas britanicas e aguèt un ròtle important dins lo començament de la Revolucion Industriala.
