Henry Shrapnel
Henry Shrapnel (3 de junh de 1761 - 13 de març de 1842) foguèt oficièr au sen de l'armada britanica de la fin dau sègle XVIII e dau començament dau sègle XIX. Es famós per son invencion de l'obús de balas (uèi dich Shrapnel) en 1784 que foguèt adoptat per l'artilhariá britanica en 1803. Shrapnel conoguèt alora de promoccions rapidas e foguèt nomat luòctenent coronèu en 1804. Après la guèrra, Shrapnel demorèt dins l'artilhariá e finiguèt sa carriera coma luòctenent generau.
