La Jonta es un riu d'Occitània que raja dins Gavaudan e Roergue. Es un afluent de Tarn, doncas un sosafluent de Garona.
Nais al mont Augal a 1440 mètres d'altitud sus la comuna de Maruèis. Una partida del còrs es sosterranh a 3 km en aval de Maruèis per tornar sortir a un dotz 7 km après. Separa lo causse Mejan (al nòrd) e lo causse Negre (al sud) amb las gòrgas de la Jonta. S'escampa dins Tarn prèp del Rosièr, a 395 mètres de naut.
Idrologia

- Debit de secada: 0,1 m3⋅s-1 ;
- Debit maximal: 349 m3⋅s-1 a Maruèis, a l'aigada de 5 de novembre de 1994.
