Lo kakabe es una lenga mande, una branca de las lengas nigèrocongolesas, parlada en Guinèa.
Localisacion e dialèctes
Lo kakabe es parlat dins lo centre de Guinèa, dins la region de Fouta Djalon. Los tres dialèctes son lo kakabe central, lo mai parlat, lo kakabe de l'oèst, dins la sosprefectura de Niagara e dins lo nòrd d'aquela de Mafara. Lo dialècte del nòrd es parlat defòra del Fouta Djalon dins la sosprefectura de Kankalabé[1]. La lenga es fortament influenciada per lo pular, al qual lo kakabe a manlevat 20% de son vocabulari[1].
Classificacion
Lo kakabe es una lenga mande del grop mokole, que n'en fan tamben partida de parlars vesins, lo mogofin, l'ore-kaba e lo koro-maninka[1].
