Kehl es una vila alemanda situada dins lo Land de Baden-Württemberg e l'arrondiment d'Ortenau (Ortenaukreis). En riba dreita de Ren, la vila fa fàcia a Estrasborg en França. Kehl es una vila de dimension mejana dins la zona d'influéncia d'Offenburg, dins la region del Ren superior mas es interdependenta d'Estrasborg e sovent considerada coma lo "quartièr alemand" de la vila d'Estrasborg. Al sègle XVIII, lo centre de la vila foguèt completament reconstruit a la seguida d'un incendi.
