Marbre
Lo marbre (var. maubre, marme) es una ròca metamorfica, calcària, amb textura compacta, un aspècte cristallizat e cristallina, compausada per de grans microscopics de calcita. Lo marbre es la ròca ornamentala pus utilizada dins l'Istòria. Ara, s'utiliza per far retalhs de malonatge e revestiments, tauletas de mòbles, etc. Dempuèi l'utilizacion privilegiada coma material per l'escultura a l'apocòpa classica lo marbre es considerat coma un signe d'elegància. Lo melhor marbre es lo de Carrara. Miquèl Àngel, lo grand escultor de la Renaissença italiana, anèt dins las peirièras de Carrara per causir personalament los marbres per las seunas esculturas.
