Lo mewati es una lenga indoariana parlada en Índia.
Localisacion
La lenga es parlada dins los districtes d'Alwar, Bharatpur e Dholpur en Rajasthan e tamben dins lo districte de Gurgaon en Haryana e dins aquest de Mathura en Uttar Pradesh.[1][2].
Classificacion e dialèctes
Lo mewati fa partida del grop rajasthani de las lengas indoarianas centralas, una branca de las lengas indoarianas, que fan partida de la familha indoeuropèa. Existís pas de lenga rajasthani, mas un ensem de parlars acampats jos aquest tèrme. Lo mewari es sovent vist coma essent un dialècte del marwari, mas òm pòt lo considerar coma distint d'aquest darrièr[3].
