Mosterian
Lo Mosterian es la principala manifestacion culturala del Paleolitic Mejan en Eurasia (aperaqui 300 000 a 30 000 abans lo present), pendent los periòdes glaciaris Würm I e Würm II e pendent lor periòde interglaciari. Deu son nom al jaç del Mostièr, al confinh de Paisac e Lo Mostièr, en Peiregòrd, dins lo departament de Dordonha. Sembla derivar dirèctament de l'Acheulean e de lors culturas contemporanèas. Presenta de pigassas bifacialas, triangularas o cordifòrmes, de ponchas, de gratadors, de pèças denticuladas, de cotèls talhats sus d'asclas grandas de pèira, de burins e de perforadors.
Los cercaires Henri Breuil, Denis Peironin, Francés Bòrdas, L. e S. Binford, P. Mellars, N. Rolland, Ora Dibble e E. Böeda analisèron aquel periòde en destriant, entre autres, lo Mosterian de tradicion acheuleana (A e B), lo Mosterian tipic e lo Mosterian charantian de tipe Quina e Ferrassiá, e lo Mosterian de denticulats.
