Lo naira (simbòl : ₦) es la moneda de Nigèria dempuei 1973. Creat per remplaçar la liura nigeriana, es gerit per la Banca Centrala de Nigèria e se subdevesís en 100 kobos (b). Es una moneda importanta dins lo sistèma monetari african en despiech de la baissa quasi continua de sa valor e de projèctes per o remplaçar per una moneda comuna a plusors país d'Africa de l'Oèst.
Creat lo 1èr de genier de 1973 durant lei crisis petrolieras, lo naira s'impausèt rapidament coma una moneda importanta amb un taus d'escambis de 2 nairas per un dolar. Pasmens, en causa dei problemas de l'economia nigeriana (corrupcion, feblessa de l'investiment locau, dependéncia ais exportacions d'idrocarburs, inflacion...), s'es pauc a cha pauc afeblit. En novembre de 2011, sa valor èra ansin de 160 nairas per un dolar e de bilhets de valor faciala mai e mai importanta son estats més en circulacion. Aquel afebliment s'agravèt dins lo corrent deis annadas seguentas e, en 2023, la valor dau naira s'afondrèt entraïnant una crisi economica grèva.
