Las peptidasas o proteasasas son d'enzims que trencan los ligams peptidics de las proteïnas. Usan una molecula d'aiga per o far e doncas se classifican coma idrolasas.
Las peptidasas se tròban naturalament en d'organismes vivents, ont s'usan per la digestion moleculara e la reduccion de proteïnas pas desiradas. Las peptidasas pòdon trencar siá de ligams peptidics especifics (Proteolisis limitada), en dependent en la sequéncia d'aminoacids de la proteïna, o pòdon redusir un peptid complèt a d'aminoacids. (proteolisis illimitada)
Los inibidors de proteasas naturals se devon pas confondre amb los inibidors de proteasas usats dins la terapia antiretrovirala. Qualques virus, en inclusent al VIU, dependon de las proteasas dins lors cicles reproductius, es per aquò que los inibidors de proteasas se desvolopan coma de metòdes antivirals.
