Segonda Edat
La Segonda Edat es un periòde dins l'òbra de J.R.R. Tolkien. Començèt amb la desfacha de Morgoth e la fondacion de Mithlond e finiguèt amb la victòria de la Darrièra Aliança contra Sauron.
La Segonda Edat coneguèt la gloria e la destruccion de Numenor, la guèrra entre Sauron e los elfs e la destruccion del règne dels Gwaith-i-Mirdain. Aprés l'arribada dels exiliats dunedain se debanèt la Batalha de Dagorlad entre los elfs (dirigits per Gil-Galad), los dunedain (dirigits per Elendil e lors filhs) e los nans amb las fòrças de Sauron; a la fin la Darrièra Aliança aguèt una victòria pirrica pr'amor que pendent la guèrra i moriguèron Gil-Galad, Elendil, Anarion e fòrça autres braves guerrièrs. Isildur moriguèt pauc aprés en una emboscada premanida pels orcs e atal se perdèt l'Anèl Unic.
