Sent Martin l'Astier[1] (Saint-Martin-l'Astier en francés) es una comuna d'Occitània, dins la region istorica de Perigòrd, administrada per lo departament de Dordonha de la region de Novela Aquitània, ancianament d'Aquitània.
Geografia
Toponimia
La prononciacion es [ʂɛ̃mmɒr’ti] [lɑː’tje][1]. Las fòrmas ancianas son Sanctus Martinus de Laster, en latin, en 1144, Sanctus Martinus subtus Moissida, en latin, sens data fornida, Saint Martin l'Astier en 1342[2]. Sent Martin de Tors (316-397) fuguet evesque de Tors e evangelizator de las Gàllias au sègle IV. Per Laster de 1144 : atraccion dau latin aster, « astre » (faussa traduccion). L'Astier es interpretat per Dauzat e Rostaing coma un nom de persona, per Chantal Tanet e Tristan Hordé coma una allusion a l'estachament a l'abadia de Sench Astier, per lo site de las comunas de Dordonha coma lo mot occitan astier, qu'explica coma « braç de flume » [2],[3],[1].
