Soundgarden

Soundgarden foguèt un grop anglofòn de ròck tendéncia metal, originària de Seattle als Estats Units. Es format en 1984 pel cantaire e bataire Chris Cornell, lo guitarrista Kim Thayil e lo bassista Hiro Yamamoto. Cornell passa a la guitarra ritmica en 1985, remplaçat a la batariá per Scott Sundquist, puèi per Matt Cameron en 1986. Yamamoto quita lo grop en 1990 e es remplaçat per Jason Everman e pauc de temps après per Ben Shepherd. Lo grop s'arrèsta en 2017, en seguida de la mòrt del paure Chris Cornell.[1]
Soundgarden es estat ambe Nirvana e Pearl Jam un grop emblematic del genre grunge al debut de las annadas 1990. Lor títol lo mai conegut es Black Hole Sun, tube ròck mondial en 1994, tirat de lor album Superunknown.
