Règne
Après la mòrt de Totila, Teia continua la lucha contra los bizantins. Èra lo cap de la garnison de Verona e foguèt elegit rei a Ticinum, l'actuala Pavia. La meteissa annada es desfach e tuat a la batalha del Mons Lactuarias, a l'entorn de Salèrn per lo general de l'armada imperiala, Narsès[1].
Teia èra lo filh d'un Fritigern e aviá un fraire Aligern que jonguèt après 552, los bizantins dins la guèrra contra los francs e los alamans dins lo Nòrd d'Itàlia.
En 555, los darrièrs guerrièrs gòts capitulèron a Compsa (Conza della Campania), al Nòrd-Èst de Salèrn[2].
