Teogonia

Una teogonia (en grec ancian Θεογονία, de Θεός, « dieu », e γεννάω, « engendrar ») designe tot recit mitologic sus las originas e lass genealogias divinas.

Constituís una forma de recit original, tot coma una cosmogonia (que descrich la naissença de l'Univèrs e del mond), qu’es sovent indissociable, o una antropogonia (que descrich la naissença e lo destin de l'umanitat). S'agís sovent d'armonizar, a la limita de la poèsia e de la doctrina, de legendas destriadas al subjècte de las causas primièras. L'exemple mai celèbre es la Teogonia d'Esiòde (sègle VIIIe AbC.), fixant lo canon del recit olimpian dins la mitologia grèga.
