Toni Braxton
Toni Michele Braxton, nascuda als Estats Units lo 7 d'octòbre de 1967 a Severn, comtat d'Anne Arundel (Maryland), es una cantaira anglofòna e musiciana afroamericana. Comencèt sa carrièra musicala en 1990 dins lo grop The Braxtons, que formèt ambe sas quatre sòrres : Traci, Trina, Towanda e Tamar.
Foguèt revelada als Estats Units en 1993 tre la publicacion de son primièr album solò, Toni Braxton, que ne vendèt 10 milions d'exemplars dins lo mond entièr.
En 1996, publiquèt un segond album, Secrets, que's vendèt el a 15 milions d'exemplars dins lo mond entièr. Conten en particular lo títol Un-Break My Heart, la cançon que la faguèt conéisser en Occitània al mes de decembre d'aquesta annada de 1996, e que foguèt quitament numerò 1 als Estats Units. Aqueste títol Un-Break My Heart es considerat a l'epòca coma lo segond simple mai vendut d'una artista feminina de tostemps, darrièr la represa de la cançon de Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You per Whitney Houston en 1992. Pr'amor d'aquel succès enòrme, Toni Braxton ganhèt dos Grammy Awards als Estats Units : lo de la melhora cantaira pop e lo de la melhora performança vocala RnB feminina.
