Viperidae
Los Viperidae (o viperids) fòrman una familha de sèrps que comprenon entre autres las vipèras e ls crotals. Se rencontra las espècias d'aquesta familha sus gaireben tot lo glòbe, e son totas de sèrps verinosas.
Anatomia e biologia
Tot a l’abans de la maissa, los viperids an de longs croquets crosats d’un canal pel qual s’escola lo verin. Aquestes croquets son dispausats de tal biais que quand l’animal dobrís la boca, se soslèvan e son projectats automaticament en davant.
Son de sèrps de talha moderada, que lor longor atenh en general mens d'un mètre e mièg. Son totes carnivòrs e consumisson de predas divèrsas pro pichonas, principalament de rosegaires. Son d'ovovivipars.
