Predloga:Botanik
Namen
- Predloga je namenjena navajanju standardne avtorske okrajšave botanika, ki je sestavni del znanstvenega imena rastlinske vrste oz. višjega ali nižjega taksona, ki ga je ta botanik opisal (in je torej avtor imena).
- Ustvari se sklic ki se povezuje na International Plant Names Index (IPNI) zapis te okrajšave, botanik "IPNI. C. Bab.[1]"
Po Mednarodnem kodeksu botanične nomenklature (ICBN) so okrajšave standardizirane. ICBN priporoča za referenco knjigo Brummitt R.K. & Powell C.E. (1992). Authors of Plant Names. Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. ISBN 1-84246-085-4. Pri iskanju okrajšave se lahko ravnate tudi po Seznamu botanikov po okrajšavi avtorja in spletni strani The International Plant Names Index.

Opomba: Starejše verzije zahtevajo okrajšavo imena in polno ime,
e.g. {{botanik|C.Bab.|Babington, Churchill}}.
To ni več zahtevano in uporaba predloge na starejših straneh ne potrebuje sprememb.
Predloga samodejno uvrsti članek v kategorijo Botaniki z avtorskimi okrajšavami.
