Tabulator
Tabulator (angleško tabulator; okrajšano tab, Tab ⇆) je krmilni znak za pomik položaja za vnašanje oziroma kurzorja naprej na določeno razdaljo od levega roba strani. Na pisalnih strojih je namenjen kreiranju preglednic s podatki v stolpcih, kjer uporabniku prihrani zamudno vnašanje velikega števila presledkov. Namesto tega imajo pisalni stroji mehanizem za določanje dolžine položaja (»tab stop«). V računalništvu ima izvorno isto funkcijo v urejevalnikih besedil, vendar je dobil tudi druge vloge v drugačnih kontekstih (denimo preskakovanje med polji za vnašanje v obrazcih).
