Mario Andretti xe nato a Montona il 28 febbraio 1940. Inte el 1948 con la sua famiglia gà dovudo lassar Montona. Xe stado in un campo profughi de Lucca fino al 1955. Il suo arrivo negli Stati Uniti, sempre inte el 1955, gà segnando una svolta nella sua vita. Insieme al fradel gemello Aldo, i se gà costruido una macchina de corsa, i gà comincià a gareggiar. Le vittorie xe arrivade subito par tutti e due. Solo Aldo par colpa de un bruto incidente gà lassà dopo le corse. Mario invece gà proseguido e il culmine del successo lo gà raggiunto inte el 1978 con la conquista del titolo mondiale de Formula 1.
