Molven (Malfein in todesc) l'è on comun de sirca 1 100 abitanti inte ła Provincia de Trento.
La zona de Molvèn l'era abitata già inte ła preistoria. El vescof de Trent, i conti del Tirolo e i conti de Flavon i s'è begadi par ani par Molven, perché dal paès pasava la strada che da Riva la va su par le Giudicarie fin in val de Non. Tra el 1802 e el 1805 i militari austriaci i ha tirà su arquanti fortini arènt ala strada che pasava a ovest del lac, perché i pensava che i soldadi de Napoleon i podessa vegnir su dala banda de San Lorenz par ciapar la piana Rotaliana e la val de Non. Ancora adess se pol trovar le ruine de sti fortini (se ghe diss "i fortini de Napoleon") sul monte Corno.
El paès l'è tacà al lac de Molven, ch'el se trova tra el Brenta e el Gàgia, a est del parco natural de l'Adamel e del Brenta. El lac el s'è formà pasa de 4000 ani fa, par na frana vegnuda giò dal mont. L'è el second lac pù grando del Trentin dopo el Garda e el va giò 123 metri. Nei ani zinquanta i gà fat sota le galerìe che portar l'acqua ala central eletrica de Santa Masenza.
Da pù de zento ani Molven l'è in paès de vilegiatura, con pasa de trenta alberghi, in campegio e quartieri da fitàr. A Molven ghe stà, entra i altri, el re del Belzo Alberto I (ch'el parlava in dialèt co le so guide), el poeta Antonio Fogazzaro (che l'ha scrit de la Tosa e del lac), l'esplorator Umberto Nobile e el scritor Alberto Moravia.
